Baker first appeared on the MLB scene in 1968 when he made his Major League debut for the Braves and had a stellar 19-year career as a player. He was named an All-Star twice, named the 1977 NLCS MVP, won a World Series in 1981, a Gold Glove and two Silver Sluggers. When he retired in 1986, it didn’t take long for Baker to become a manager as he took the Giants’ job in 1993....
