A good Samaritan intervened in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to Richard Mejia, public information officer with the Long Beach Police Department. The person sought help from fellow citizens. Together, several people detained the suspect until police arrived at about 1:39 a.m. Officers responded to the report of sexual assault on a minor at the Denny’s location, police said, and found the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Jimmie Kirkwood, injured with stab wounds....

Williams filed a lawsuit against Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold claiming the Democrat would not add the phrase to his name on the ballot, despite it being his nickname. During a Thursday press conference, Trump questioned whether it would be possible to inject disinfectants into the human body to combat the novel coronavirus. In a 220-213 vote on Monday, the new GOP-controlled House imposed a series of changes to the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), an independent body set up in 2008 to investigate allegations of misconduct against members of Congress. Among the changes would be to reintroduce term limits for members of the bipartisan board, which would force the removal of three of four Democrats who are on the panel. While House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries can choose to hire replacements, the process could take months....
