The tournament, organised by Football Schools India (FSI) in Salcete, saw Indian youth between the age of 10 years to 17 years representing their academies and schools for the coveted trophy across six categories.
Around 50 teams participated in boys’ U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 age-groups and girls’ U-13 and U-15 age-group. The tournament was played in a group plus knockout format and was held across eight venues, some of which were used as practice venues for the U17 World Cup held last year in India.
The tournament also saw representation from the Middle East, with teams from UAE taking part.
Youth Soccer Academy from Mumbai won the U17 Boys category after trumping Mumbai’s FSI Advance. Come and Play from Goa won the U15 Girls event by defeating FSI Goa in the final.
