The Guy’s Grocery Games host, 54, attended three of the rock band’s concerts last week: Cleveland, Ohio, on July 27, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 29 and Raleigh, North Carolina, on July 31.
In a clip that has gone viral on TikTok and Twitter, Fieri can be seen puffing on a cigar with a drink in hand as he sings along to “Bombtrack.”
Before throwing his hand in the air to fist-pump, he briefly puts the hot end of the cigar in his mouth. The clip has been watched more than 1.4 million times.
As the video of the Food Network star began to circulate, social media users had one question.
“Why is no one on here commenting on him licking the other end of his cigar?!” one person asked on Twitter.
Another user posted: “A beautiful scene. Say, does he lick both sides of the cigar??”
One queried: “Is it customary to heat up the cherry on a cigar by putting the hot end in your mouth and blowing through it? Or did he just get so into RATM that he needed to feel the burn on his tongue?”
A fourth posted: “Okay, but did he really take the burnt end of the cigar and put it in his mouth, before flipping it back to the proper end?!”
The restaurateur and reality TV star—who has sons Hunter, 26, and Ryder, 16, with wife Lori Fieri, 51—went to the Ohio show with his older son and said they had “been waiting for this” for a long time.
“So, Hunter and I are in Cleveland,” Fieri told his 3.5 million followers in a Twitter video. “Rage Against the Machine, our first concert ever. They’re about to go on stage.”
In a separate tweet, the celebrity chef added: “@hunterfieri and I are losin’ our minds. Crushin’ it!!”
Fieri and his son, along with several of their “buddies,” even managed to get backstage. “This is a lifelong journey that Hunter and I have been on,” he said in another clip.
Fieri rose to fame as the winner of Season 2 of Food Network Star. He launched his first television show Guy’s Big Bite in 2006 and took his love of food on the road for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives later that year. His new Food Network show, Guy’s Ultimate Game Night, premieres on August 31.
Newsweek has reached out to Fieri’s representative for comment.
