Tyler Herro was a Heat hero in during his rookie season, but has come back down to Earth in recent weeks before coming back to life vs. the Spurs on Wednesday. The Heat, though, are apparently keeping an eye on what Herro’s up to off the court.
On the “Inside the Paint” podcast (conversation starts at 38:24) Ethan Skolnick and Ira Winderman say that Herro’s desire to become a celebrity off the court may have rubbed some teammates the wrong way, and that Miami brass is concerned with what’s happening with the shooting guard:

Sklonick and Winderman say that Herro’s desire to be an off-the-court star has been apparent, and that Miami has been concerned for “months” with Herro’s focuses, and that those concerns have mirrored that of past Heat stars.
Herro’s emergence in the NBA bubble last season opened eyes around the sport with another young, developed player coming to life under Miami’s development.
Herro had his first 20-point effort in eight games on Wednesday night, putting up 20 points in a win over the Spurs, with 15 of those points coming in the fourth quarter.
Hopefully Herro’s off-the-court exploits are nothing more than Chipotle and cereal.
