While only a handful of Pokémon will be able to Mega Evolve when the update goes live on Thursday, there’s a long list of Pokémon from across the generations that have the ability to undergo this transformation that some Pokémon Go players may not know about.

Mega Charizard (both X and Y), Blastoise, Venusaur and Beedrill will be available in Pokémon Go initially, but trainers looking to get a more powerful Pokémon that will eventually Mega Evolve, they may want to start looking now.
