The two teams from South Dakota squared off on Friday and in the second quarter, Dell Rapids was attempting an extra point.
Kicker Keegan Hemenway topped the ball off a low snap. It careened off an opposing linebacker’s helmet and over the crossbar. It took the referees a few seconds to respond but they eventually raised their hands to signal a successful conversion.
Dell Rapids went on to win the game, 51-0.
