Trump spoke with Raffensperger, a Republican, for about an hour on Saturday, urging him to “find” enough votes to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s win in Georgia, The Washington Post first reported on Sunday. During the call, Trump pushed numerous debunked conspiracy theories and other misinformation about Georgia’s election results as Raffensperger calmly explained that the president’s “data” is “wrong.” Georgia already carried out three recounts, including a hand recount, to certify that its results are accurate and that Biden won by a narrow margin of just under 12,000 votes....

The bright red masks feature the catchphrase, which is similar to statements made by President Donald Trump, and “NickforVA.com,” the website of Nick Freitas’ campaign for Virginia’s 7th District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Freitas, a libertarian Republican in the state’s House of Delegates, is running against Democratic incumbent Abigail Spanberger for the U.S. House seat. Freitas’ campaign website features his platform, which highlights such issues as immigration, abortion and gun control, and his own store, which sells a pack of three assorted face masks....

Massie, who represents Kentucky’s 4th congressional district, on Wednesday shared the image of a clenched fist with a numbered tattoo on a wrist, similar to Nazi concentration camps identification numbers. The photo contains the caption: “If you have to carry a card on you to gain access to a restaurant, venue or an event in your own country…that’s no longer a free country.” The tweet was taken down, but a screenshot was reshared on Twitter by Andrew Kaczynski of CNN’s KFile....

Janice McGeachin joined several state officials to promote a “declaration” against coronavirus measures that was published on the Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF) website on October 1. In the film, shared on YouTube earlier this week, Republican lawmakers all take turns to read lines from the declaration. During McGeachin’s segment, she can be seen sitting in her truck smiling and holding a bible, before she takes out a handgun and places it on the book....

A new national survey was conducted by prominent GOP polling firm Fabrizio, Lee & Associates, which has worked with Republican clients including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and GOP Senators Rand Paul, Marsha Blackburn, Rick Scott and Bill Cassidy, among numerous others. It showed that the majority of Republican voters would be favorable of a Trump 2024 run, with only 15 percent of respondents identifying themselves as “Never Trump” Republicans....

GOP state Representative Russ Diamond of Lebanon County made the controversial social media post on August 23. The post includes a purple background of skulls, with the question: “What’s it called when someone sticks something into your body against your will? A recent survey conducted by CNN and the research firm SSRS found that 47 percent of those aged 65 and over said they would vote for a GOP candidate if the midterm congressional election for their district were held “today,” with slightly more people aged 65 and over saying they would vote for a Democratic candidate (49 percent). This is a major turnaround from May, when a previous CNN/SSRS poll found that nearly two-thirds of those aged 65 and over (62 percent) said they would back a Republican candidate in the midterms, compared to just 37 percent of seniors who said they would back a Democratic candidate....
