The Golden Knights have given Shipachyov’s representatives permission to explore a trade, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman. After leading the Kontinental Hockey League in scoring, Shipachyov focused on continuing his playing career in the NHL. In early May, he became the second player to sign with the Golden Knights but Shipachyov failed to crack Vegas’ roster out of training camp. Shipachyov found himself being sent from the Chicago Wolves and Knights on a regular basis....

The former member of K-pop girl group Kara was found dead in her home in the Cheongdam neighborhood of Seoul on Sunday. “Yesterday (November 24), around 6 p.m., Goo Hara’s housekeeper discovered her. On March 20, a fake Twitter account reported of that the Harry Potter actor tested positive for coronavirus. Radcliffe was allegedly “the first famous person to be publicly confirmed.” Twitter users clicked on the link and were then sent to an old BBC.com page. Although the original tweet has been deleted, the fake news report had already fooled many readers. Twitter has taken down the account for “platform manipulation;” according to Huffpost....

GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee took time during Monday’s opening statements to air grievances about the treatment of Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett and Robert Bork during their nomination hearings. Senator Ted Cruz called Kavanaugh’s hearings “one of the lowest moments in the history of this committee,” while Senator Ben Sasse said Barrett faced “religious bigotry.” Both Kavanaugh and Barrett were confirmed to the bench. Still, Republican senators have made it clear that, despite their criticism of Democrats’ treatment of previous nominees to the Court, they plan to grill Jackson when questioning starts this week....

State Representative Ken Wyler has stepped down as a member of the House Finance and Joint Legislative Fiscal committees following criticism from Republican Governor Chris Sununu and Democrats. Iowa Senator Joni Ernst’s campaign sent a fundraising email detailing the key SCOTUS opening at 7:08 p.m. with the subject line, “BREAKING: the future of the Supreme Court is on the line,” according to a Twitter post by Radio Iowa News Director O. Justice Ginsburg’s passing was announced roughly around 6:30 p.m., Iowa time. “The next Supreme Court nominee will shape major decisions for decades to come,” the campaign email read....
